P2P LEARNING SYSTEM: Epsylon Technologies Signs Joint Venture With Vertical Computer Systems

NEW YORK-MOSCOW (June 1, 2001) OOO Epsylon Technologies and Vertical Computer Systems, Inc. have agreed to joint venture a new peer-to-peer learning system for education and training. The joint venture, Wireless Learning Systems, LLC, will initially target Kindergarten through twelfth grade students, as well as teachers and education systems. Marketing will later expand to include colleges and universities as well as corporate, government and general enterprise education and training.

Marketing effort will first concentrate on the United States and will later roll out globally. Epsylon is providing its interactive XML-based browser software - TAXXI COMMUNICATOR - for porting into the new Cybiko 1.5 wireless PDA.

VCSY is providing technical assistance with its Emily XML-based software, funding for P2P learning software development, and global marketing.

Cybiko, Inc. will become a part of the joint venture and has said it will contribute 2,000 Cybiko PDAs to the joint venture for educational pilot projects.

Epsylon and Cybiko's programmers and engineers are currently working in Moscow on porting TAXXI into Cybiko.
US in-school pilot projects are targeted to begin September of 2002.
