WebGiro INKS PACT TO BASE SOFTWARE PRODUCTS ON EPSYLON SOFTWARE April 24, 2002, Lidingo, Stockholm, Sweden - Leading Swedish-based software company has chosen to incorporate ET's superior core products - SuperBEAST and TAXXI Communicator plus ET video-on-demand (EVE) and video conferencing (VideoMost) applications - into software for its clients and to make ET's software the platform for its applications. WebGiro's clients include ABB, Scania, and several other large customers. WebGiro closely collaborates with its partners, such as include Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and MCI WorldCom. The company, based in Lidingo next to Stockholm, has recently developed a new XML-based system for electronic document management. The purpose is to simplify and streamline business communication, whether it's e-billing or other sensitive business documentation. The system encrypts direct communication between sender and recipient. The sender fills in a form in Microsoft Office which tells the system to understand what language the sender is using and how the data is to be translated in order for the recipient to interpret them correctly. Parts of this technology were recently adapted as a standard by the European Union standards organization CEN/ICC. WebGiro is also a major contributing member of CEN/ISSS Electronic Commerce Workshop, whose mission is to offer a coherent and cohesive focus for Electronic Commerce standardization at a European level within the context of global Electronic Commerce standardization activities. Participants in ECW include Ericsson, ETIS, Siemans, Sun and such organizations as Hewlett Packard, British Telecom, RosettaNet, TIE Global, ICForces, UK, etc.
