ET technology is used for:
CLIENT LIST: Multi-server system providing world-wide information exchange. Central Information Analysis System of the Bank ("Sezam") based on Baikonur, BEAST and Taxxi. Requirements: handling consistently high computational load and high level of information security. The enhanced security by encryption of client-server traffic using SSL 3.0 and TLM (any other third-party encryption software is also supported by BEAST), secure profile and access levels. Central Information Analysis System is one of the most critical IT components for the Central Bank. Test applications were based on different Web App Servers and on Web Server NCSA+CGI. High Security - 256 bit algorithm; 6 Application Servers; 30 Server-Side Applications for Oracle Database; 20 Work Stations for financial analysis. Tests demonstrated that BEAST was the only server that did not slow down with growth in the number of users. This, plus the fact that BEAST supported any number of applications with different logics and interfaces, resulted in the Central Bank decision to choose BEAST. Lukoil is the world's largest public oil company with 120,000 employees. Shipping Management System ("SPS") is the core of Lukoil's Corporate IT System. SPS is extremely robust and handles high, unpredictable loads of an exceptionally large information system. 700 Users; 5 Web Application Servers; 14 Server-Side Applications; Interbase SQL Server. Lukoil chose BEAST for the following reasons: good integration with its legacy system, high load capability, speed of development and excellent security protection. Later, Lukoil also purchased a competing product - Oracle Web Application Server. But, they soon realized that BEAST-based development is more error-proof, faster and more reliable. Currently, all Lukoil development is conducted on the BEAST platform. Licensed BEAST and provided technical consulting to build their system. Aeroflot is world's largest commercial airline in terms of both cargo and number of flights and passengers. ET developed and supports Aeroflot's Aircraft Load Control System and Pilot Flight Assignment System. Both systems have high levels of protection, versatility, scalability and reliability. 100 Users; 1 Web Application Server; 27 Server-Side Applications; Interbase SQL Server. Three factors were critical for Aeroflot: rapid development, fast time-to-test application and short time-to-learn for Aeroflot personnel. BEAST demonstrated advantages in all three areas. ET offered a unified approach to component design for different types of clients used by Aeroflot personnel - both for conventional browsers and for ET's proprietary Taxxi Communicator. Russia's largest online phone billing system is based on our proprietary XML-based browser, Taxxi Communicator. The system is very fast and provides a unique interface for users. This interface creates "client-side work semblance" - a speed-, feel- and look-induced illusion that the client is using an application installed on his device. For example, account balance reports open on client computer as instantaneously generated Word files. 100,000 Simultaneous Users; 11,000 Application Servers; Load Balancing; Distributed Transactions Support. The Parliament's Central Information System ("CIS") is based on BEAST. CIS is used by Parliament Members as the one-stop depository of legislative information and support services. Here, BEAST enabled fast and simple development of server-side applications accessible by conventional browsers. ET is discussing porting the information for members of Parliament to other than computer devices - Palm, etc. 2,500 Users; 1 Web Applicaton Server; 14 Server-Side Applications; Oracle SQL Server. Transneft is the world's largest pipeline company and a virtual monopoly of Russian gas, oil and other pipelines. ET licensed BEAST to Transneft for purposes of corporate IT development and provided technical support for installation. ET is to develop a complete Enterprise Resource Planning system ("ERP") for Transneft based on Taxxi. RosBank is one of Russia's largest commercial banks. ET licensed BEAST to RosBank IT Department. RosBank's intranet and internal proprietary applications (reporting, security, operations control) are proprietary products of RosBank based on BEAST platform. ET has provided technical support for installation, training and maintenance. Electrosvyaz Corp. is one of the largest Russian telecom companies. ET developed and supports the back-end and front-end of www.bol.ru, the Internet portal of industrial resources of Bouryatiya - one of the largest (6 million people) regions of the Russian Federation. The speed and versatility of the server were such that the site almost immediately grew from a regional B2B portal into the site of choice in Russia for breaking financial and industrial news. For example, during the 1998 Russian Financial Crisis most people in Russia checked currency exchange rates on www.bol.ru. BEAST enabled ultra-rapid development of a state-of-the-art system of crime detection, breaking crime and archiving of information. Stavropol (5 million people) urgently required the system due to the high crime rate and terrorist actions in the region, adjoining Chechnya, Osetia, Georgia and other "hot spots" in the Caucasus region. BEAST enabled ultra-rapid development of the system. ET is now discussing introduction of the system to other regions. FischerWerke is the largest construction hardware plant in Europe. Numerous resellers and contractors have been placing orders for many unique and complicated parts, many of which need to uniquely fit with others. The task of streamlining the job was solved by ZiWuSoft, through use of BEAST development environment, which enormously streamlined the widgets ordering system. www.epsylongames.com is the largest interactive television portal in the US (WebTV, Liberate, WorldGate, AOL TV, Freedomland.it, etc.) EG content is distributed in North America, Mexico, Peru, Italy, Spain and other countries. Epsylon Games is compatible with all Itv platforms and effectively handles between 1 - 2,000,000 requests per day, with 30,000 games played every day. Over 100 games for iTV, Palm and other devices were developed using BEAST component libraries. BEAST-based development was fast; the resulting games are compatible with practically any Net-connected device. BEAST also provides the application server, which is robust enough to allow two small servers to serve up to 20,000 users a day. Two small servers ($2,500 each) host 100 server-side applications and 12 Gb outgoing traffic per day; 24 x 7 x 365 availability.
Preliminary Discussions (September, 2001)
Aeroflot has requested ET's proposal for re-structuring their entire Central IT system using SuperBEAST for their central server and TAXXI Communicator for remote applications worldwide.
Joint venture between Vertical Computer Systems, Inc. and Epsylon Technologies, Inc. for a smart education-oriented PDA for Kindergarten-Grade 12. ET will port TAXXI into a PDA manufactured by Cybiko, Inc.
